– Requirements for any organisation in the food chain (ISO 22000:2018)
Change of the accreditation standard
ISO 22003-1:2022 was published in June 2022 and will replace the previous version from 2013. The rules for certification food safety management systems were further specified and adapted.
Among other things, the rules for classification (categories) were specified and the audit times adjusted.
If you are affected by these changes, you will be contacted directly.
The rules for using the certification mark were clarified:
The use of the certification mark on the product or product packaging is expressly prohibited. Product packaging covers all product packaging, both primary packaging (which contains the product) and any outer or secondary packaging. It is also prohibited to use statements on the product packaging that the organisation has a certified FSMS.
As ISO 22000:2018 itself has not been adapted, therefore, there is no need for you to take any action.
